Distraction in early pregnancy

i’m due start my first round of IVF soon🤞🏻 aware it may take multiple rounds and after losing both my fallopian tubes IVF is needed.

im not too anxious around IVF as there will be appts and scans to distract me but worried about how i will mentally cope following a positive test. Ive had 3 previous miscarriages and will be on apsirin, progesterone and blood thinners to support me.
I think i’m just very anxious until i have my dating scan at 12 weeks ( i know things can still happen after this) but just wondering if anyone had any suggestions of week by week what i can do to distract myself
will have a early scan at 6 and 8 weeks!
thanks

I’ve noticed you aren’t getting many replies here, it might be because you’ve posted in pregnancy about IVF ☺️ We have a section in mumsnet called infertility which has lots of great info, you might want to ask there for advice to help!

For me, I found the TWW the worst after both of my IVF cycles! I would try to plan things in and keep active ☺️

I played a lot of nostalgic computer games to pass the time! I also binge-watched easy TV shows like Mafs. Or of course a job or some kind of bigger project to take your mind off things during daytime weekdays. Best of luck for a successful go at it.

Honestly, the arse pain from the Prontogest injections distracted me - ended up using a tens machine on my buttcheeks and having massages to ease the muscular pain! So, I’d say bit of self care pamper can waste a few hours/days!

I really recommend reflexology to relax you during ivf and afterwards. It’s been my oasis of calm during stressful times.
