3rd pregnancy no gestational diabetes

I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes in both of my 2 previous pregnancies. The first pregnancy very late, so somewhat dubious. Second pregnancy relatively early, I think around 16 weeks. Both times controlled relatively easily with diet and exercise.

Just had my 28 gestational diabetes test and it came back completely normal, not even slightly elevated. I'm completely shocked. I thought it was an absolute given that if you have had it before you would get it again. Should I ask to be re-tested? Could this just be an error in the results somehow?

Had it with my first pregnancy. Not with my second. They’ll probably retest you around 28 ish weeks. Also remember they’ll dip your urine at every appointment so any hint of sugar they’ll send you for a test.

This was the 28 week re-test. I wasn't so surprised it wasn't an issue on the first test but was very surprised to not have it picked up now.

Good point about the urine tests, that's a bit of a relief that it's being monitored even without having to go through the GTT again.

I was never tested with my first, my second I had GD, third no GD which was a surprise to me too. Fourth I did have GD again and currently 21 weeks with GD, diagnosed at 14 weeks x
