How exciting. Is this your first baby? In the hospitals here they won’t bring you in until you’re 4cms and having regular contractions. If you’re able to rest if I was you I would. Either that or keep active, maybe a big walk to get things going properly. I think if you’re questioning if you should rest you might be a while off established labour. You will know when it’s time to phone midwife without question. But obviously if you’re worried about anything don’t hesitate! Good luck!!

Aw that’s lovely. Hope you managed some sleep last night and things are all moving in the right direction. I did get really strong Brixton hicks at the end of my pregnancies (which I know is so annoying when you think you’re in labour and you’re not). If your contractions haven’t found a regular rhythm yet it could be that. Either way, baby is not too far away!
