Pregnancy food rules: is Aldi soft scoop, KFC or Mr Whippy safe?

My wife is pregnant as Nd is getting annoyed with things she can and can't eat and Google says different things
Can she have Aldi soft scoop ice cream
Can she have KFC
Can she have a Mr whippy

I had the ice cream from mcdonalds

Google says different things even NHS website says avoid the soft serve mr whippy mcflury ice cream

soft scoop is ok, it’s the whipped ice cream women who are pregnant are supposed to stay away from. So yes the Aldi soft scoop is fine. I’d avoid the other two to be on the safe side.

Soft scoop from supermarkets is fine, I’d be more wary about mr whippy because it could be stored too warm. McDonald’s is a safer bet because they will have strict safety protocols

As the PP has said, Aldi soft scoop should be fine, but avoid the other two. The risk of listeria is too high, so would best be avoided.

KFC chicken is fine
Rather than Google, I’d advise the NHS website.
If you live in the UK you need to read the guidelines for the UK
this is due to different food standards and procedures in different countries.
For example, fresh cooked ham from supermarket is fine in the UK but is (or used to be) advised against in the USA

Why couldn’t she have KFC chicken?

Re the KFC (or any food even home cooked) just follow common sense - with chicken make sure roasting hot/cooked right through.

Aldi soft scoop ice-cream - yes.
KFC chicken - yes.
My whippy style ice cream - technically aviod.

I lived on KFC in my most recent pregnancy. Now have a very healthy 11 day old!

KFC chicken is fine :)
