Early scan timing and when to start enoxaparin after miscarriages

Hi everyone,

I’m feeling really anxious and hoping for some reassurance from people who’ve been through similar.

I’m about 4 weeks and have started Cyclogest as advised by my consultant because I’ve had two previous missed miscarriages May & Oct 2025.

Last time I saw a heartbeat around 6 weeks but then sadly lost the pregnancy between 6–7 weeks, so I think that experience is really playing on my mind this time.

I have an early scan booked at EPU for 1st April when I’ll be about 6w5d. My consultant’s plan is to start enoxaparin once a fetal heartbeat is seen.

I’m just wondering:

  • does 6w5d sound like the right timing for the first scan or would you push for earlier?
  • if you were starting enoxaparin with a heartbeat, would you wait until then or ask to start sooner?

The wait is making me unbelievably nervous and I keep worrying about the same thing happening again.

Would really appreciate hearing any experiences or reassurance ❤️

Congrats! but why are they wait til
scan to give enoxaparin? you could have it from positive test & reduce the risk of miscarriage x
