Took lymecycline in first 4 weeks before pregnancy confirmed, worried

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant and had the realisation I’d been on a 4 week course of lymecycline and I’m terrified!

My 4 week course started on 9th Feb and the first day of my last period was 10th Feb so it’ll be exactly the first 4 weeks of my pregnancy.

Google says to stop taking it immediately which is fine as I’ve already stopped. From what I can see it’s not advised at any point in pregnancy but if you’ve taken it unknowingly very early in pregnancy the risk should be lower.

I’m going to speak to my GP as soon as I can
Monday but I just wondered if anyone else has been in a similar position and could hopefully put my mind at ease?

I’ve always been an anxious person and worried how I would be in pregnancy.. First night since finding out I’m pregnant and here I am at 3am spiralling and making my first Mumsnet post!

It’s not really an issue before the 13th week of pregnancy as it can cause tooth discolouration in the child but there is absolutely nothing a dr will do for you.

Thank you for the response this is reassuring. I know the doctor won’t be able to do anything, I suppose I just wanted a bit of reassurance from them!
