Low hcg? Slow line progression success stories!

Hi, long time lurker here!
This is my current line progression on the Amazon one step tests 10dpo-17dpo. Has anyone got any similar looking tests with success stories. After 3 miscarriages over the past 3 years, my anxiety is through the roof!
I have one living child who was a low risk pregnancy and I conceived him within 2 months of coming off the pill so I naively thought this time would be easy!
I and am under the recurrent miscarriage clinic but have to wait till 6 weeks for an early ultrasound but have been manically testing in the meantime! I am on baby aspirin once a day and 400mg of folic acid 3 times a day as per my consultants advice. I will start progesterone after my scan.
I’m keen to see pics of others similar line progressions where they have had a successful pregnancy, so pls share!
it’s worth noting I got 2-3 weeks on clear blue weeks indicator today at 17dpo so that has placated me for now!
It infuriates me seeing these slow line progressions with no updates so I will update whatever the outcome!

I personally wouldn’t say that was slow line progression. The fact you got a 2-3 weeks on a CB indicator at 17dpo is great too. I’ve had two chemicals before my current pregnancy, and neither of which I got to 2-3 weeks. Good luck!!

Ok thank you, tempted to call the epu on Monday and ask for bloods so I can be reassured! I’ve felt every spectrum of emotion over the last few days 🫩

I’ve been where you are OP, big hugs. Those particular tests are generally crap, I found them very faint so try not to worry too much and I hope all goes well for you

BudgetBuster · 15/03/2026 08:33

Those lines don't look like show progression at all, and the 2-3w clear blue means you have sufficient HCG for 4-5w pregnant which is a good sign.

I understand that you probably think the line looks "faint" for this gestation but I think that's just the brand. If you did a boots or FR or something I bet it'd be stronger.

Is there a reason you don't start progesterone until after the scan? It's usually given from positive test?

aLogLady · 15/03/2026 09:30

i agree that this brand of tests isn’t great for seeing obvious progression once the line gets a bit darker, and also, I still think this looks like healthy progression.

Steffi3008 · 15/03/2026 12:09

Thanks everyone for the positivity. Think I’m just nervous as I used this brand in 2023 and my test line was as dark as the control line at 12dpo! Have done this test this morning which I am much happier with. Will stop testing now till next Saturday when I’ll do another clear blue weeks indicator. Will update after my scan 🤩

The letter from the consultant just said to start it once I’ve had the scan - I guess it’s so they can make sure it’s in the right place first?

I Understand your concern with progression
Ive had 4 miscarriages .
My thoughts are buy different tests. The wandfo are good

Steffi3008 · 27/03/2026 11:32

For anyone that was wondering, I just had an early scan at 6w+2 and there is a little bean in there with a heartbeat!

On the NHS progesterone is given following a scan. It’s ridiculous but that’s what they do.

It seems thats just NHS protocol
. I was refused progesterone until after id had a scan at 6 weeks aswell. I found this extremely frustrating since my issue was struggling to even get past 6 weeks. Ive had 6 pregnancies and only one child. Was on progesterone due to it being ivf. I managed to source some progesterone on my own which I honestly think has helped progress my pregnancy to this point.
I think its really unnecessary that women especially those with prior loses and confirmed low progesterone bloods in previous pregnancies should be subjected to wait considering it should be started as early as possible. If having ivf for example you start progesterone immediately, you dont need to wait until having a scan to confirm location . Even epu say its best started as soon as you find out but protocol prevents them from prescribing it to you
