Went to an early 6 week scan where I was told I was measuring 5 weeks 3 days and was too early to see heat beat but saw an embryo measuring 3.2mm. Has anyone has the same?

Hi OP, I didn’t want to read and run! I think it’s very common to measure a little behind at this stage and also not to see a heartbeat so early. Are they going to scan you again?

Hi! It was window to the womb I went to so they’ve said I can go back in 2 weeks and pay for a rescan. I have my midwife appointment on Monday so I might see if I can get scanned at the EPAU

Yeah maybe raise it with your MW and if you say you’re concerned she might be able to refer you. I do think at such an early stage its really common to be measured slightly behind and the measurements are so small that it’s really easy for them to get it slightly out, especially when it’s not a NHS scan 😀 hopefully you get some answers soon!

Only 4 days behind? Not at all concerning, and certainly not worth calling EPAU about.
How certain are you of your ovulation date - are you experienced at BBT? If you are using other methods to track ovulation, or have only been BBT-ing a short time (or anything else compromised your data this month) then you can't be certain of your ovulation date.

Hi, I only tracked with ovulation tests and this is my 4th cycle since miscarriage

Okay. Well LH tests are good at predicting you are likely to ovulate in the next two days (unless you have PCOS), but they can also detect a failed attempt at ovulation. Your body can then try again a few days later. So your dates could be out.
However, even if you are bang on with your ovulation date, and you used that to date the pregnancy (rather than LMP), I still wouldn't worry about a four day difference in size at this gestation. There are obviously no guarantees of anything so early on, but I don't think this indicates a problem in itself iyswim.
Hope all goes well!
