Period after coming off the pill

I was on the pill for about 12-13 years and came off in January after my 'pill period'.
Had what I think was a 3 day withdrawal period after a 35 day cycle and now on 36 days with no period in sight.
I know this can be normal but how soon after you came off contraception did you have a real period i.e. ovulation?

Mine took over a year to come back, really worried me at the time. Went to the GP after 6 months and they ran tests, they said I may have PCOS and put me on a waiting list for testing.

This was a few years ago now and I’m pregnant with my second. Fell pregnant both times by the 2nd month of trying. I mentioned PCOS to the sonographer during my first pregnancy and she said I didn’t have ovarian cysts or anything so PCOS was unlikely.

So still no idea why cycle took so long to return!
