No pregnancy symptoms at 6 weeks after MMC, should I worry?

Hello,

I suffered a MMC which ended with a d&c last October. I also have a toddler who is 3. i am very fortunate to have fallen pregnant again and I’m currently 6w 5days today

I knew pregnancy after loss would be difficult but I feel like I am overthinking everything. I currently have zero pregnancy symptoms, I do remember not feeling much with my first, but when I say, if it wasn’t for a positive test and lack of period, I wouldn’t believe it.

I have an early scan booked for when I am 8w 5d and know there is nothing I can do just now. But I suppose I am just looking to hear of similar stories. Did it all turn out ok ? Should I be worried ?

Thank you

Yes this happened to me when I was at a similar stage to you. All was fine, and my daughter is now 28! But my symptoms just disappeared overnight, no sore boobs no nausea, no tiredness. They did eventually return with a vengeance and I was hospitalised soon afterwards with hyperemesis.

i understand your concern as it was very unnerving, I remember seeing the GP about it at the time (this was 1997). I do hope all goes well for you.

Awh sorry you are anxious OP. Unfortunately pregnancy after loss is actually mind-boggling.

I have had 6 pregnancies (5 previous, 1 current) and I cam say that my symptoms or lack of symptoms were different in every single one. For some that ended in early loss, I had symptoms until maybe a week after the miscarriage was completed. Others that ended in loss I had little or no symptoms For my only live birth so far, I had no symptoms in the first trimester at all. And it was really tough because I was constantly just waiting to lose him. I'm currently 26w and I was very very sick from weeks 5-10 (V&D, hospitalised on drips etc) then it's went away and I panicked. But it came back and I've spent most of my 2nd trimester being ill constantly again.

Literally no correlation to symptoms and healthy pregnancy or correlation to no symptoms and loss in my experience.

If you were very anxious you could bring your scan forward? But I know that you'll likely be reassured for an hour or so and then start wondering again til the next scan.

Wishing you all the best!

Pregnant with my third baby, apart from bloating I’ve never had pregnancy symptoms, especially in the first trimester! All (so far) have been very healthy, carried to term with no complication babies ❤️

Sending you love. Ive been through 4 mcs recently, cycle after cycle and im now pregnant again 4+5 .
Its a very anxious time being pregnant after loss however I will say that I had zero symptoms with my son so you can absolutely have a healthy pregnancy with no symptoms

I am 5-6 weeks pregnant with my second baby and I am also in the same boat in terms of symptoms, I had mild heartaches for a week, cramps and that’s all disappeared apart from feeling tired all the time and waking up at silly times in the night wide awake 🫣
can’t remember feeling this anxious with my DD xx

It is such a weird feeling isn’t it !

I’m now 14 weeks and so far everything is looking great. I did end up feeling nauseous maybe a week after writing the original post, mainly when I hadn’t ate which has continued since.

it is just a long wait for a scan to confirm that everything is ok ! I’m sure everything will be fine though & wishing you a very smooth pregnancy ❤️
