I have one of these, recommended by friend. Really thick question but do need to use it (sensor mat bit) with moses basket? or just when little one is in own cot.

You'll find it very hard to use it with a moses basket! You'd have to cut out a bit of hardboard to put under the mattress and quite honestly the whole point about moses baskets is you have the baby where you are rather than tucked away in another room.

I bought one of these things with DD - we used it for one day the ticking was infuriating and like most bloody new parents we were constantly hovering anyway.
