Currently 3 weeks 4 days pregnant following positive test 9dpo. Concerned that tests are not progressing. Could this be a chemical or just slow progression? Thanks!!

Literally nobody can answer that for you unfortunately.

HCG only doubles every 48-72 hours so there's no point in comparing tests every day. Also, 9dpo is very early to get a positive for most people as the HCG level will be so low (e.g. if its picked up a 5hcg reading, in 3 days that'll only have gone to 10hcg reading which would still show faint).

Thank you, I appreciate your honesty!! I'm driving myself mental worrying that I'll have another loss, but you're right that only time will tell. Yeah I guess I'm comparing to others tests at 11 dpo and they're much bolder, but what you said makes some sense as I found out so early... I have no symptoms which isn't helping that I'm gaslighting myself 😂

Oh I absolutely 💯 understand the anxiety.
Ive had quite a few losses myself and tbh drove myself insane doing test after test.

I actually stopped buying tests so that I'd physically have to go and drive to the pharmacy to get one and that'd put the stop on me 😂

9dpo is very early in fairness. When is your period actually due because your probably still a good few days off that if you're estimated 3w4d?

Im not trying to be blunt or cruel but comparing the tests you have won't make sense as you havent given the HCG any time to rise.

Also... I wouldn't expect any symptoms yet. If even. I had no symptoms on my now 2yr old, had symptoms on some of my losses and was violently ill for weeks in my current pregnancy. No correlation at all to the various outcomes 😂 I just drove myself mad

Ahh thank you! Honestly probably needed a bit of bluntness to put a stop to the mental spiral!!

So my last period started 07/02 but my cycles are usually around 35 days (although very irregular) my luteal phase is always 14-15 days which would make me due on on 14/03.

I thought because it's been 48 hours since first testing it would be darker 🫣🤦🏼‍♀️

That's really reassuring thank you! I'm absolutely not wanting to be nauseous or sick but thought it might reassure my mind 😂 Congratulations on your current pregnancy!!

Have you got a digital test that you can take tomorrow morning? It is so tough and you drive yourself crazy worrying xx

I've done a 6 day early digital which was positive! I'm saving the other for next week to check everything is still okay 🤞🏻
I'm really guarding my heart but then get upset and feel like I'm manifesting bad luck/vibes🤦🏼‍♀️

I’m not an expert but I did go through a chemical pregnancy last month which has left me absolutely heartbroken. I tested every day like you are and watched the line progressing every day darker until one morning it brutally halved in colour over night. I don’t think there’s a right answer about regular early testing. A lot of people will tell you not to because it’ll drive you insane but for me the same would have been true if I wasn’t testing because it was about control for me. If I hadn’t noticed the faded line the first sign would have been bleeding and that would have been worse for me.

Stay in the bubble and I will keep my fingers crossed for you xxx
