Low Dose Aspirin and Amoxicillin Safe Together?

I'm 19 weeks pregnant and have been taking 150mg low dose aspirin since 12 weeks for various reasons.

Sadly, over the last week, I developed an infection and my GP prescribed amoxicillin (penicillin).

I forgot to ask in the consult if taking both at once is safe, but later got confirmation from GP that it is "generally safe."

However, I've since read this:

'Amoxicillin and low-dose aspirin generally do not have a well-documented, direct clinical interaction in standard daily practice. However, a 2019 study indicates a potential interaction where amoxicillin alters gut bacteria, reducing the metabolism of aspirin, which may increase the levels of its active metabolite, salicylic acid, in the body.'

So, I don't know what to do now. I'm currently on the amoxicillin, but not the aspirin. I'm not all that pleased about being off the aspirin, though. I'm worried.

I guess I'm looking for anecdotal stories from others who have taken low dose aspirin and antibiotics together, thanks.

they're routinely prescribed together in a wide range of contexts.

Thank you. I'm super sensitive to most things, so get extra anxious. I'll brave going back on the aspirin.
