Very mildly painful braxton hicks 24 weeks

Hello!

I've been feeling a little anxious over the Braxton hicks I've been experiencing over the last week. I can't really tell if they're very mildly painful or just more uncomfortable than I'm used to.

This is my second baby and I know you can get them earlier in subsequent pregnancies. They're not frequent or regular, and no other symptoms. They're just very uncomfortable and maybe painful. Everything I've read says they're not supposed to hurt though.

Has anyone had this before?

Hi OP, yes I had this with DS2, braxton hicks started around 24 weeks and went on daily the entire pregnancy annoyingly and could be very uncomfortable. They were so often I couldn't actually tell when I was in early labour in the end either. It was annoying, but ultimately did no harm. If you're every worried though check with midwife or triage just to be on the safe side. I'm now 31 weeks with DD1 and I've not had them at all this pregnancy until this week, which is really strange. Not sure why they do or don't happen! Just one of those things x

I had braxton hicks that sometimes felt like early labour contractions since around 24 weeks. My daughter wasn’t born until I was nearly 40 weeks pregnant. Obviously get checked out if you are worried but for me it was nothing to worry about.

Just to add DS2 arrived at 38+6 so went to full term with him too.
