im probobly overreacting, dont know what to do

im almost 25 wks pregnant, 5th pregnancy, 1st prem at 24wks, 2nd 37wks, 3rd 36 wks, 4th 33 wks.

iv been having braxton hicks since 10 am, realy painful now, lasting 40secs thereabouts, every 20 mins, sometimes longer in between. bad back ach constant.

im at home ds is asleeps, other 2 at school, need to be picked up at 3, my parents are miles away, dp miles away on a course.
new to area, have no one to call on.
dont know what to do.

Phone your midwife, f1nut.
They will know your history - insist that they come out and see you.

Have you signed up with a midwife yet?

Call your local GP and see if you can get put through to one.

Failing that call the hospital and try to speak to a midwife on the birth unit.

If they're that persistant & distracting I'd get it checked out asap (unless they stop suddenly). I consider myself a relatively very laid back person about possible risks in pregnancy.

did you have complications in previous pg's to cause prem labour?

I agree phone MW or hospital ward explain you have no one to look after/pick up other DC and you want someone to come out and check you over, if they say no tell them you will phone an ambulance and bring your DC with you.

Phone the school too, just in case you have to wait in for the mw til after 3pm.

phoned midwife, she is coming ut, said would be here within the hour.

iv never had any reasons for all my kids coming early, just one of them things.
