Baby's heart rate - am i having a boy or girl

I know it's supposedly just an old wives tale, but yesterday my baby's heart rate was 147. From your experience would you mumsnetters say i was having a boy or girl?

Tee hee, conflicting answers already, I thought the 147 was somewhat in the grey area. I'm 27.5 weeks

I'm just basing it on my experience. DD was always 155-60 both boys always 140 something. Same happened for my friend.

I know the smaller the baby the faster the heart rate, thus not giving much of a clue

Both my dd's had heart rates of 145-155 iirc.

Saying that, my friends dd had a slow heart rate and they assumed she was a he.

It's an old wives tale. DD2 had a 'boy' heartbeat.

DS was around 120. DD was around 160. The old wives tale worked for me!!

Does that mean mine is intersex? 140 at 26 weeks, 150 at 35 weeks!!
