No Period Negative Test

Bub is 14 months and my period returned when she was 10 months old.

My next cycle came 6 weeks later which is normal for me. Now it’s been over 8 weeks and nothing. Pregnancy tests are negative (not actively trying).

Got bloods done at GP and got a referral for an ultrasound to check for PCOS.

My friend scared me with a story that her friend was pregnant despite negative tests and an ultrasound revealed she was 5 weeks pregnant!

So now I’m low key panicking 🤣 Would love to know others experiences of irregular periods after it returned and if it all balanced out!

Recently finished breastfeeding also.

Your friends friend was probably just testing too soon if she then got an ultrasound that revealed she’d just missed her period.

I wouldn’t panic about this, you might have just got lucky with the second period coming 6 weeks after the first, it’s too soon to say your periods have returned to normal. Are the bloods and investigations because it took so long for your periods to come back generally?
