First digital pregnant second digital not pregnant but stick tests still positive

I done a test after I was 4 days past my period being due. Had positive stick tests, all different brands, and a digital said pregnant on Wednesday. I had slight pains and went to A&E where they said it could be implantation pain as id be around 4 weeks. This morning I've done another digital and it now says not pregnant but im still getting a strong positive on a stick test. Ive also wiped and it looks like brownish blood like the beginning of a bleed. Im getting slight pressure in my bladder just feeling like I need a wee. Has anyone had similar? If you unfortunately lost your pregnancy and it started this way you can say that id rather know what to expect because they won't scan me for another 2 weeks x

OP I had a horrible time TTC. I had this happen to me several times, I believe it’s chemical pregnancy. Me and DH used to say “this one didn’t stick”, because it’s like it just couldn’t ‘stick’ to the uterus wall so came away. It’d show pregnant for a few days then go. Period would follow about a week later. The sticks show longer as they change colour with the presence of the HCG , if the hcg is below a specific reading a digital one will just say no.

From the number of tests you’ve taken I assume you’ve been TTC for a while? I became an obsessive tester. I can tell you from bitter experience there is no point. I had several MC where the scan confirmed MC but tests on the same day as the scans were still showing positive because there was still the presence of HCG for a few days. It really can drive you potty. It’s horrible but all you can do is try and distract yourself until the scan.

im not telling you any of this to scare you or upset you. I’m telling you because when I was going through it I trawled MN looking for people who had similar experiences as me but just kept finding the good news stories and that made me feel rubbish as it felt I was the only person it didn’t work out for.

We havent been actively trying i came off contraception a year ago and we said if it happens it happens. I had similar in October of last year but a digital said not pregnant the whole time but this time with receiving a positive digital I got myself stupidly happy for it.

Oh no I absolutely appreciate the honesty. I would much rather know the experience of other women so I know what to expect. And thats what i didnt want the good news stories to get my hopes up id rather have the honest raw side of people's experience. Im so sorry you have gone through this yourself its just awful and heartbreaking as this is my second chemical/MC. Thank you so much and wishing you all the luck in the world x
