I had hg with both my dc.

With Dd the injected cyclizine worked once i was admitted. Also felt so much better after third bag of iv fluids. Once i was discharged i had a stockpile of urine dipsticks to keep an eye on my ketones - once they reached 4+ I'd go in for another admission to re hydrate.

Ds was really awful hg. Lots of admissions, i dropped a scary amount of weight (something like 15% of body weight by week 9 of pregnancy). I ended up on a cocktail of antiemetics including cyclizine, metronidasole, and ondansatron. Basically it ended up being a circle of admission where I'd get fluids, etc then discharge home where over the next 3-4 days I'd detiorate and be re admitted. After a while they finally got a consultant to prescribe ondansatron which kept the sickness at almost manageable levels.

It sucks. It really really sucks. Fingers crossed you feel better soon, and they find a mix of antiemetics that work for you.

Ondansetron was the only thing that worked. Push for it.

Ondansetron really helped me too.
