Waters gone but I didnt feel it?!

I’m 40 weeks + 2 days pregnant and I’ve just got up in night for a wee, had a wee in toilet but when I stood uo to leave bathroom there was a large pool of pale yellow liquid on floor. I wiped it up and it doesn’t have a urine smell at all. Im wondering if this is my waters but I didn’t feel a trickle?

Put a pad in and keep an eye on it, if your pad gets wet then smell it, waters have a distinctive smell (sorry I can’t explain it). Mine went a bit like this, I wasn’t sure if I’d just wet myself a little bit. Even when I went in I was told “you’re probably just wetting yourself” but by this point I knew I wasn’t and baby was there less than 12 hours later!

It might be your waters breaking, especially if the liquid had no urine smell. Sometimes it comes as a sudden gush instead of a trickle. Since you’re 40+2 weeks, it’s best to call your midwife or maternity unit to get checked.
