Has anyone been sterilised at this age please?

i am 30 I have had 3 children (one was a late miscarriage)

ive had 4 termination

i have tried every contraceptive route & the side effects were so bad that i was instructed each time time come off them, I am also really sensitive to hormonal changes I have PMDD & I did try the copper coil for 6 months and it causes sciatica I had months of work it was so horrific.

i have been pregnant twice on contraception

mentally, the anxiety now just puts me through the roof everytime i have sex, it really impacts my life.

both my children have autism & additional needs

i have an appointment in September to discuss (first following referral) & i wanted to know wait times / if anyone in similar boat was successful etc?

Yes - and yes I have asked him, and its an extremely sore subject that i am pretty pissed off about. No matter how many times I show him how minor it is for him, considering he is adamant he does not want any more, he just wont do it.

VERY debatable, even if he did agree id have to physically drag him there cause he would never actually get it done, but he would be fine i guess watching me struggle through another termination

I was (at same time as a c section) no issues and it didn’t cause any pain or additional recovery time. I did however go on to have it reversed.

I was sterilised at 33 after 2 children. The wait was a few months, and I had no problems getting my GP to agree to a referral. I later found out that because I cited the impact on my MH as the reason for not wanting to risk further pregnancy, I was less likely to be turned away. I believe it's very variable as to whether you are considered suitable for sterilisation.

Don't do it! I've had nothing but pain and other issues since having mine done at 39. Can you try the mirena coil instead?

My sister did but she was in America.

I have no personal experience, I do know a few who have had tubes tied in their 30s but all during a c-section though.

I just wanted to say though, please stop sleeping with your dick of a partner. You've tried various contraceptions that aren't working for you, you've had 7 pregnancies, 4 terminations (I've had one and it was bloody tough, I can't imagine 4!). He needs to take one for the team and have a vasectomy or just stop sleeping together.
