Has anyone had false positive tests?

Hi girls sorry to bring this up again it’s playing on my mind wondering if mine is a positive or not will insert pics! I know I put this already today but I’m intrigued to know if anyone has or a evap line just like mine?

I went to do another with CB but when I got it out the packet it already had the control line before I used it? Is this normal?

No, it shouldn’t have a control line already visible.

However, the test window should be really white, if it’s over saturated it can be discoloured and cause dye bleed which can cause false positives. I see some blue banding in your test window which indicates flooding, and also wet under the cap.

Its best to collect a sample and dip the test in to avoid this, if any urine goes over the edge of the plastic it can affect accuracy and cause false positives so you really need to retest.

@ImSoMuchOlderThanICanTakethankyou so much for your reply I should of stated the test shown in the pics is the first test I did and wasn’t sure if this is a reliable positive as it’s quite thin? The second test I don’t have a picture of but had the control line already before taking but shown negative il definitely give it a few days maybe a week just wanted to see if anyone else experienced this xx

I understand that was the first test, but the test window looks like the test was flooded.
Fingers crossed you get a solid positive when you do retest 🤞🏻

@imprincesspearlim so sorry! This is exactly how I’m feeling this test is it’s so heart breaking and mind stressing 😔

It’s a evap line / false positive and these tests are bad at giving false hope… it happened to me a few times… it’s so sad when you’re trying and see a faint line but it’s not positive.

The clear blue ultra early digital is 10hcg sensitivy and if you’re ever feeling pregnant but you’re not sure if the test is false or positive then I really recommend. They are expensive and I’d wait until the day of your expected period but they are sensitive and will say yes pregnant or not
