Feeling unwell…

Hi all, I’m approx 6 weeks 3 days pregnant (I had a scan yesterday at a clinic) I was prescribed anti sickness tablets due to feeling constantly nauseous and being unable to eat.

Due to medical reasons (high risk pregnancy) I will be terminating the pregnancy. I already have the pills, but have to wait until this weekend when my partner is off work, so he can take care of our son.

Partner has returned to work today for the next 4 days. He does 12 hour shifts and I’m home with our child.

Ive felt generally very unwell during the pregnancy already. Today I’ve woke up with horrible stomach cramps that comes in strong waves. I’ve been to the toilet 4 times today already. Feeling generally unwell, extremely fatigued, and now I have started shivering. Is this a cause for concern?

My pregnancy was detected on the ultrasound, so I would assume they would have been able to detect an ectopic at yesterdays scan.

Im worried it’s more than normal pregnancy symptoms. Please can anyone advise.

Personally, I would call the doctor or 111 and describe the symptoms plus explain you are 6 weeks pregnant. It might be just a bug, but I would try to see someone just in case it’s something more serious.

I wish you all the best with everything, it doesn’t sound like an easy situation to be in. I hope you are ok and that the termination goes smoothly. Look after yourself x

Thanks for your kind well wishes. My son has been to the GP himself in the last week with some diorrhea so maybe it’s something to do with this. The shivering appears to have stopped now. I’m going to try and get something light to eat shortly as I suspect being hungry isn’t helping xx

Oh bless, that sounds like incredibly bad timing all round. Definitely not what you need. It sounds like it might be just that, and if you start to feel better it probably is. But if you’re even slightly unsure, don’t worry about calling them!

I definitely think you need to buy yourself something nice with all this on your plate. Have an unmumsnetty (((hug))) Flowers
