Latent phase of labour?

Hi everyone,

First time pregnancy and I'm currently 37+4.

For the last few hours I've been having cramping/tightening under my bump/lower pelvis. Very short lasting (10-20 seconds) but only a few minutes between.

I think I've lost my mucus plug over the last 18 hours as well.

Do you think this sounds like the latent phase of labour?

I've been having regular Braxton Hicks but these definitely feel more painful than uncomfortable and in a lower area.

It could be OP although I’ve found that when you’re in real labour it’s quite obvious. My first baby I was 2cm for days without really noticing however my second I dilated from 0cm to 5cm in a few hours and it was excruciatingly painful.

If your contractions get much more painful and start lasting around 1 minute I would go and get checked out.
