Hi, i had a miscarriage at 4 months pregnant on 16 jan 2026. The doc said to do pregnancy test after three weeks and if it’s negative then you can start trying again when bleeding stops.

i had a scan after three weeks which showed everything is clear but i didnt do the test which u think is my mistake.

fast forward now: almost 1.5 months later
three days ago we baby danced and i had streaky red blood mucus when i wiped and then next morning as well when i wiped. After that : nothing just period cramps which lasted an hour and no blood at all.

today i did two pregnancy tests one is 5 miu whereas one is 20miu

5miu is positive and 20 one is negative.
now i am confused is this is because of the old pregnancy or the new one🥺🥺

not Sure what any of the abbreviations mean OP, sorry. Test on the right looks like a faint positive, but 3 days ago doesn’t really add up?

I also don’t really understand the timeline. If you only had sex once 3 days ago you physically cannot get a positive at this point.

Sorry about your loss. I don't see how you could be showing as pg 3 days after ttc - is that the only time you have tried?

I had surgical management of a miscarriage in early Jan. I was scanned whilst under to make sure they had got everything. Three weeks later I was still testing positive due to lingering HCG levels. I had bloods at the Early Pregnancy Unit to check if it was that or a new pregnancy. Worth a try calling them to see if they can test you via bloods to put your mind at ease
