I am CD 50 with no period in sight. I am so regular every 31 days. Have been my whole life.

End of December I hit my ovulation window and baby danced. My period in January came 3 days early it started so light that I did think it was implantation bleeding but latest 2 more days and was full of clots and heavy. So I moved forward and ruled myself out and have been baby danced a few times since.

My period was due mid Feb never arrived. CD 50 no period.

heres the thing:
no period
no signs of period coming
no signs of feeling pregnant
other than being really tired
really emotionally drained with all this not knowing what’s happening with my body

went to the drs did nothing said come back in 3 months if still no period.

can anyone relate or had any experience. I am going mad!

Just a duff cycle. You won't have ovulated (because ovulation to period is always the same length, it's the beginning bit that changes) so your body just has to work itself out. I get them occasionally and it's exceptionally irritating when you're trying to conceive.

Have you recenrly started pregnacare by any chance? That totally screwed up my cycle length which was annoying as I was taking it to hopefully speed up conception!!

Sounds like when I had a chemical pregnancy.

@tinybeautiful yes!! I have been on pregnacare since end of December? Would this be the reason?
i can’t believe it so helpful. Did you stop taking this?

Ha yes it will be the pregnacare. Totally fucked up my cycle length. Yes I came off it and just took high dose folic acid and vitamin d separately. You can just take a normal vitamin supplement (just check the level of vitamin a cos that you need to be careful with in pregnsncy) but tbh I didn't bother.

@tinybeautiful oh my godness! That is crazy that a tablet can mess your cycle! I thought I was going insane lol! Thank you! You have been so helpful

Just another person who’s cycle was messed up by pregnacare 👋
I had a 45 day cycle when I started taking it, drove me mad!
Things went back to normal pretty quickly after stopping

Redheadx · 01/03/2026 10:11

@Utardelis thank you! That’s good to know. I’m going to stop taking it from today and hope it goes back to normal and I get a period soon!

I can’t believe this 7 weeks I have been going insane because of a tablet lol

@tinybeautiful @Utardelis hi ladies, just wanted to thank you for your help! 2 days after stopping these tablets my period came! That is so concerning what they are doing to our bodies! Thank you both so much

My cycle was also messed up by Pregnacare. I switched to just a basic folic acid and vit d and cycle went back to normal. Also once I was pregnant; the big pregnacare tablets made me so sick! Ive since read that those prenatal / pregnancy supplements are really not necessary (apart from folic acid and Vitamin D which everyone should really take). Better to have a healthy diet

@Redheadx ah great news ☺️
mad isn’t it! It annoys me the packaging says “there is no evidence this affects menstrual cycles” when the evidence is it happening to so many people!
