Feeling not “pregnant enough” - first time mum worries

Hi all,

I’m around 7 weeks pregnant (LMP 13th January) with my first baby, and I’ve been feeling really anxious lately. Over the past week, nearly all my pregnancy symptoms have disappeared - my boobs don’t hurt, I’m not as tired, I’m not nauseous, and I just feel… normal??

I know every pregnancy is different, and symptoms can come and go, but it’s really scary for me since this is all new. I do have a reassurance/viability scan booked for 10th March, but until then I keep worrying.

Has anyone else had a sudden drop in symptoms this early on and everything turned out fine? I’d really love to hear experiences or reassurance, it’s hard not knowing if this is normal.

Thank you in advance ❤️

At this stage it’s very normal! You might get some new symptoms in a few weeks

Yes - a dip between wk 6-8 for me and the back with a bang!

Hi OP! Sorry you are worried, it’s such an anxiety inducing time isn’t it! I’m now 10 weeks and definitely had a dip in symptoms around week 7. Thought my sickness had gone and then bam by week 9 It was back and with some new symptoms too. Hang in there, first trimester is so tough x

Thanks all! Still a bit nervous, my hcg levels don’t seem to be rising quickly enough. This was this morning. On the 13th of Feb I was “1-2 weeks” so to still be on 2-3 weeks makes me feel off

From personal experience I never got beyond 2-3 weeks when I thought I should be 3+. I don’t think the tests are reliable for showing progression. Maybe you could book an early reassurance scan?

I had two miscarriages with symptoms continuing after I had lost the pregnancy and a successful pregnancy where I didn't even know I was pregnant until nearly 8 weeks. Symptoms aren't always the best judge of success!

Had my scan today! I’m tracking at about 7 weeks (I thought I was 8 so due date is probably end of October now / 27th ish) with a strong heartbeat 💓

@kaitlinobrienxthat’s great news. I’m a day behind you, due 28th Oct. I also have days where I feel completely fine and the anxiety kicks in if you ever want to talk it through x
