Hi all,

I have a beautiful daughter and I really would love a son next. Now people don’t come for me lol I know all that matters is a healthy baby and absolutely true! I’d just love to experience being a boy mum too given we only live once

so I’m curious, what day of your cycle did you conceive a boy? Is there any truth in Shettles method?

thanks

Shettles method is an old wives tale. Colloquially i know people who tried it- for some it "worked" for some it didnt so likely just your chances anyway

sex day of ovulation or even day after better - male sperm swim faster so better if egg is ready. while female sperm live longer.

Unless you go to one of the very few countries that allow gender selection and do IVF you’ve a 50% chance of having a boy. No other method will guarantee you a boy.

All I can tell you is that I have three sons and I am as certain as I can be that all of them were conceived on the day of ovulation. Probably just chance, though!
