Well...as per title really never thought anything of it. I only checked this evening as I was checking other medication and it specifically says no decongestant...so vicks vapour rub is fine but states not to use it up nostrils! Well January ive been run down with cold and blocked nose one after the other so have actually been putting it in my nostrils and on my nose....
I guess I am writing this for any advise or wisdom.....
I won't be using it again in my nostrils from now on 😅 Shame as it was actually quite a relaxing feeling 😅

I don't think it'll cause any harm at all, to be honest. Even in your nostrils it's nowhere near what is still a very small cluster of cells, I can't see what harm it can do, it just relieves symptoms a bit rather than majorly intervening with anything.

I have a lot of colds so one of the worst things about pregnancy for me was no decongestants! I ended up doing inhaling Vicks over a bowl of hot water.

I’m pretty sure it means decongestants that are tablets.

It’s the camphor that’s an issue if you consume it.

My mum slathers herself in this stuff. Puts it on an eye mask because she swears it helps her.

pretty sure that as long as you’re not eating it, you’re fine.

Embryo is still just getting nutrition from its yolk sac atm, so I can’t imagine any small amount of decongestant that might have reached your bloodstream through your nostrils would do any harm, but then yeah, I also wouldn’t continue it now you’re aware. Hope your blocked nose goes away soon!

It means no decongestant drugs like Sudafed. I’d not give this another thought :)

Thanks for the reassurance from you all x
