5 weeks pregnant and bleeding

I’m 5 weeks pregnant today and have just went to the toilet and had some bright red blood when wiping. As I kept wiping it did get lighter to the point where it stopped but when I insert a finger (sorry tmi) it’s like an orange/rust colour along with some clear discharge. Can it be normal to bleed this early on and everything be ok?
In my last pregnancy I had a subchorionic hematoma and bled pretty much my whole pregnancy and ended up going into labour at 32 weeks. I wasn’t able to enjoy the pregnancy at all due to the bleeding and was hoping this time would be different.
I’m also having slight cramping as well which has just started since the bleeding started.
Has anyone else had this?
Im trying not to think the worst but im so anxious.

I spotted for 4 weeks in my 1st trimester, 6-10 weeks.was a mix of dark red/brown, bright red and pink. When it started I had bad cramping that felt the same to me as a previous miscarriage. I had 3 scans during that time and no reason could ever be found. DS is a healthy 13 month old now who was born at 39 weeks and 5 days. No other complications after that.

I had a bright red bleed around 6 weeks. I think it was cervix? A subsequent scan did show a bleeding ovary and sch, which then meant brown/pink/very dark bleeding for a few weeks. But the red bleed was very different, a bit like a nosebleed, sudden then gone.

cramps from mc were very very obvious. Like nothing I’d had before. Cramps from a healthy pregnancy have been on/off and slightly sore but not worrying feeling? Not painful and not rhythmic.
