Signs of pregnancy?

I am driving myself a bit mad! I feel pregnant. For the past two or three days, I have real food aversion which was my main clue with my first. I have had headaches and bloating, some nausea. I've also been burping (which I never normally do). We are TTC but not tracking ovulation and my cycles are all over the place but my period tracking app suggests I would be due in around 5 days. I took a test this afternoon and it was negative at the 3 minute mark but by around 5 minutes, my OH noticed a really faint line.

Do you think it's worth testing again tomorrow or waiting a bit longer?

The waiting is torturous!

Was the test supposed to be read by 3 minutes? I would wait a bit longer to test again. I know that's easier said than done! If your app is suggesting your period isn't due for another few days you would need an ultra early/sensitive test anyway.

It was a three minute one but also said to ignore any result after 10 minutes so as it was in the middle, I wondered if it would still count 😂

Aww, I know! I suppose we all technically know that anything outside of the window is not to be counted. But in saying that I had a negative test, threw it in the bin, got implantation bleeding, got the test out of the bin and there was the faintest faintest line. And now I'm 30 weeks pregnant so 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Ok I am invested in this. Please do another test and let us know.

Another negative this morning :(. I'm so confused as the symptoms have continued (including food aversion so strong that I've only felt like this before when pregnant with my first, nausea that woke me up in the night and a real craving for really sour apples). Maybe it's all in my head 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Aww, I'm sorry. It's all so confusing. Maybe try and test again in another couple of days?x

Any news?

Daffodils8 · 25/02/2026 07:32

Another negative but still no sign of a period either. Such a frustrating window 😂

Food aversion usually kicks in around 5-8 weeks.
headaches, bloating and nausea are also common before AF. I would say more likely you’re not pregnant this cycle if getting negatives.
Good luck OP. Hope you get your BFP soon.

@Daffodils8 I'm sorry it's all so confusing. How are the symptoms?

iwasgonnasay · 25/02/2026 16:14

@Daffodils8 definitely don't rule it out - everyones different
I had consistent AF symptoms and nothing different about them when i got my BFP first time round - BUT oddly did not test early as i had done every other month. The month I actually was pregnant I felt deep down like I just knew, and i waited for my AF to be 2 or 3 days late as i wanted the best line i could get after all the waiting.

Now i am currently awaiting Tuesday with so much uncertainty as I should not really have been TTC as I don't feel 100% ready for a second but we just keep dipping in and out of "if we wait too long we'll miss our window" and have been unprotected several times! And 7 days before AF is due i feel waves of nausea, light headed & dizzy, headaches, isolated cramping and tugging / fluttering. Can't shake the feeling that something's in there.
