38 weeks - signs of labour?

I’m 38 weeks today and saw the big wife earlier - she said the baby is not engaged but head is down
I had been feeling sick all day but it didn’t feel like normal morning sicky vibes.. roll around 7pm and I’ve had terrible diarrhoea and was also sick. Bit of backround, I am never ever sick I haven’t been sick for about 10 years. I am so emotional as well, tiny things setting me off at any moment.
could this be a sign of Labour? Or have I eaten something funny???

Loose poos before labour is a known sign, muscles moving and your body having a clear out before baby. So could be something.

Yep sounds like it ..I was 38.5 weeks felt off all day and slept. Woke at 1am stomach ache, went to the toilet...had diarrhea. Went back to bed, same happened. Was convinced I'd eaten something dodgy! Nope labour
Get sorted and ready

Thanks! I’ve continued with v&d all night.. I’m wondering if it’s something I ate or a bug? No other signs of labour yet. but it is very very unusual for me to throw up like this . Will keep you posted

@hovebaby99 speak to yr midwife but I thought exact same...eat something dodgy. Took 3 days...
Started early hours Saturday night
Didnt have DS till Monday afternoon

Well I’m having some braxton hicks I think quite low down and I think I might have lost my mucus plug last night… feeling very tired as well. Taking it really easy and just waiting to see what happens! 39 weeks tomorrow

Update!

my beautiful daughter was born Monday morning safe and well! I do think it was still a sickness bug, it really was savage but whatever - I’ve got the best little person to look after!
