Just that really how many days past ovulation would you test?

Save yourself the stress of line eyes (and the money of testing constantly) honestly and just wait until your period either arrives or doesn’t. Good luck!

Earliest 10-12dpo. You’ll see plenty of people getting very very faint lines before that but it normally just causes more stress. By 12dpo most people will get a clearer positive.

14 days and only ever once.

15dpo. A positive should be unambiguous by then even if you implanted on the later side or are a day or two out with ovulation. Most women will be missing a period by then too though my luteal phase is often 16 days so not necessarily late at that point. FWIW my successful pregnancies I tested on days 18 (but thought it was 11 -- very weird cycle, clear positive), 12 (very faint, quite stressful waiting for it to get stronger, but it was significantly stronger the next day) and 15 (positive came up before the line saying the test had worked!). In cycles which were definitely chemical pregnancies I had: 1) negative at 11dpo, very faint positive at 14dpo; 2) negative at 12dpo, faint positive at 15dpo; 3) negatives at 10,11, 12 and 15dpo, faint positive at 17dpo.

Unless you are struggling to become pregnant, I’d say no sooner than when your period is late.
