All i see is babies. I see them in the shops and on the street and its like a puppy, I want another one. Please refresh me with all your horrors of pregnancy/birth. I need to hear it.

Not so strange then . Thanks Lunavix

fairyfly · 25/01/2005 16:16

No but looking at men does

hippi · 25/01/2005 16:17

MI, maybe if i'd gone through 36hours i might feel differently, dd was 11 hours and ds only 4 hours. Sorry! I only have a screaming two year old to use as a weapon against more babies. I live with her and still want another!

Titania · 25/01/2005 16:19

yes big time. I am so so broody......think I always will be though so where do I draw the line???

EnlightenedFlum · 25/01/2005 16:22

Actually that advert for washing powder with the eskimo lady who looks like she is fishing and then pulls up a perfectly white, tiny baby gro, and turns round and a little face surrounded by a fur hood appears.

That makes me sooooooooooooooo broody.

Strangely it doesn't make me want to do my washing through an ice hole though.

I am so glad I am not alone! I am pg with no 3 and dh is pretty adamant this is to be our last. But I know I would like more - actually always fancied stopping at 4 but not sure our bank balance could support a 4th......
Bit depressing that you carry on feeling broody until menopause!!!

lunavix · 25/01/2005 16:34

hippi - my labour with ds was 31 hours ( I personally think it was a bit longer... but rah rah rah irregular contractions and all that rubbish ) and that still doesn't stop me

hippi · 25/01/2005 16:39

Oh lunavix - and there's me thinking i was broody cos i'd had easy births! I'm gonna have to get over broodiness pretty quick as dh says he's having the snip (he has 4) and reckons that's enough!

Titania · 25/01/2005 16:43

ds1 was 26 hours

dd was 38 hours

ds2 was 4 and a half hours (and home birth)

I WANT ANOTHER ONE ...........!!!

aloha · 25/01/2005 16:43

I don't really get broody over babies...with me it's more teeny little cashmere sweaters, tiny little shoes (eg tiny red mary-janes), beautiful prams, Daisy & Toms and copies of Milly Molly Mandy books that do it for me. Shallow? moi?

galaxy · 25/01/2005 16:44

Yes, yes, yes

But no chance of having another

Bagpuss30 · 25/01/2005 16:45

All the time, and now I'm 17 weeks pg with our third . DH has told me this is very definitely our last though.

Titania · 25/01/2005 16:45

DH is more broody than me!! he wants at least four!!

Sallie · 25/01/2005 16:46

Lucky you Titania! My dh also wants to stop at 3

Titania · 25/01/2005 16:47

got at least one more to come here then!!!

highlander · 25/01/2005 16:48

the first pee I had after DS was born was huuuge - bliss after those end of pregnancy micro-widdles. I remember sitting on the toilet, laughing at my volumous wee, pledging never to go through pregnancy again.

But I still haven't thrown away DS's tiny baby clothes.....

Sallie · 25/01/2005 16:55

...am currently pg with no3 and keep feeling sad that it will probably (if dh has his way) be my last pregnancy

fairycakes · 25/01/2005 17:01

i absolutely hated being pregnant - but i have to say, i am exactly the same, cant wait to have another every time i see a new baby. next door have just had a new baby and the first thing i said to dp when i saw him was "please cna i have another one?!" (dd only 19weeks!!)

biglips · 25/01/2005 17:03

aloha - same to me as ive never been a broody person but babies stuff are SSOOOOO cute!

SeaShells · 25/01/2005 17:03

Me and DP have decided 2 is enough. I want to go to uni to become a midwife, hopefully, seeing all those babies and pregnant women will be enough and it'll be the last thing I want when I get home, or it might do the opposite! It makes me very sad to think I won't ever be pregnant again though, I loved it.

emmatmg · 25/01/2005 17:14

Absolutley..........I don't even need to see a baby.......just talking about it does it for me.

I'll always want another(have 3 ds's) but have now accepted that it's not going to happen. The thing that makes me really sad though is that DH always says he'd like another too but being the sensible one between us he thinks of the financial side of things first.
I really wish he wasn't so sensible sometimes

bubble99 · 25/01/2005 19:55

After DS2 was born I knew I had unfinished business and that he wouldn't be our last. DH was happy to have another and we've ended up with twins - due anytime soon. So MMDDWW, keep that in mind when you're thinking -"just one more?"
