Hi,I was just wondering if the following things are 'normal'/usual for my stage of pregnancy, because I'm feeling quite different movements etc now than I did with my son, who's now 10 months old....

This baby moves a LOT. As in, hardly stops!
They've been very vigorous movements for the past couple of weeks and they make my stomach move like there's an alien about to pop out at any moment! hehe.

I know some babies move more than others but I'm sure I didn't get kicks and rolls this strongly with my son until I was further along than I am now.

Could I be,say 30 weeks do you reckon?

I'm 28+1 according to my dating scan- but I only had my dating scan at 19 weeks, so I'm thinking I might be a couple of weeks further along than they think.

I'm also getting LOADS of braxton hicks, and I got lots with my son but I get lots down below my belly button which feel like I need the loo,and ones where my whole tummy goes tight.

I also get episodes where they come every 5-6 mins on the dot and are very strong, and give me period-type pain and lower back ache (not too painful though) then when the BH ends, so do the other symptoms.

Oh - and I've been getting a lot of pressure over the past 2 weeks as well, you know where it feels like the baby is going to drop outor is pushing downwards? hehe.

Is this all normal for 28 weeks, or should I keep an eye on it just in case?

I am on number 3 and everything has been happening early my midwife has said it is just body knowing what to do.

Unlikely dates were wrond I have been measuring 2 weeks over but they are sticking with scan dates and not my enormous belly!

Sounds like baby is thriving!

Hi,

I'm 31 weeks today but have also been thinking that this baby is much more vigorous that DS1 was! Unless I'm remembering it wrong, but as GreenGodess says, everything's been happening earlier for me this time too. And it's a totally different pregnancy to the last one. Maybe that's just how it goes?

Hiya,

If you come and visit us on the Due in Sept 08 antenatal thread you can ask about 30 other women at your stage what their current experience is like!?

Think all babies are different. I

didn't get so many bh but my baby moved all the time if she got chance (way more than 10 times a day...) - and started doign this at about 25 weeks.

tbh its only now its tight that she has stopped oding this (although still makes the odd bid for freedom kickign under my ribs and is most partial to kicking the doctor at antenatal checks ).

So doesn't sound that unusual -just that you might have a lively one...
