Hi all I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant and just been diagnosed with gestational diabetes they said my reading was high but not actually put a number on my badger app. I’m waiting for an appointment with the diabetes team but what was everyone’s labour like with gestational diabetes as my little one always likes to be breech but they said he should turn by 36 weeks

I had it with my first and it was fine. Diet control was hard, and they wouldn't let me go over my due date. We had to stay in 24 hours after birth and I think they checked my little boys blood sugar a few times to make sure it was all ok :)

Was it natural birth?

Yes I had a natural birth :) I'm 30 weeks pregnant again but this time I don't have it :)

Okay and that’s great news

it shouldn’t really affect delivery per se they just keep a much closer eye on things and so you might be a bit more likely to be induced. I was induced because she was measuring small (the opposite to most GD babies!) and ended up with a c section but it was fine, and there were no blood sugar issues at all.

If everything stays measuring fine you’ll just be treated like a ‘normal’ pregnancy
