Normal bleeding or miscarriage?

Hi,
I am currently 6-7 weeks pregnant on my 3rd. Over the weekend i was hahing lower back pain and indigestion tyoe pain which i didnt take any notice of until i started having spotting too(never had in previous pregnancy) . I was seen my weekend Doc who did bloods (came back fine) and a cervix check which showed my cervix closed and some old blood around it. Since the cervical check yesterday my bleeding ahs got heavier, like a light / moderate period and cramps coming and going. Is this normal after a cervix exam ?

Sorry you're going through this. No, I wouldn't really expect a cervical exam to cause that level of bleeding or cramping so I'd say it's most likely a miscarriage and to brace yourself for that x

This is my thought tok unfortunately but a part of me is hoping for a threathned misscarriage. My bloods and cervix were fine less than 24hours ago and the doctor did mention blood around the cervix when he checked that could have cause the spotting

Sorry you’re going through this OP, what a worry it must be. My friend had very heavy bleeding when she was around 7/8 weeks and assumed it was a miscarriage but the baby was absolutely fine and he’s 4 now. So don’t lose hope.

Can you book in for a private scan somewhere to put your mind at ease? Fingers crossed everything is OK.

It could be a subchoronic haematoma, I had some bleeding early in a pregnancy that was caused by this. Only time will tell unfortunately, are you able to get referred to EPU by your GP to get properly checked out?
