Hey guys 👋

I am 7 & half weeks pregnant & feeling constant nausea I got some tablets from my GP as it was all day/night to the point I could not live daily life especially at work but still getting it often when the tablets are at the end of the wearing off (says only take them every 8 hours) I feel it after about 5-6 hours. Issue is it’s making my appetite awful I can’t eat much as just feel nauseous I feel constantly bloated just wondered if anyone had any advice or anything that helped you get through the 1st trimester :) xx

I get horrendous nausea when pregnant and my tips are:

I find when I get hungry I feel sick so eating little and often works.

Eat something before getting out of bed in the morning, ginger biscuits work great, and get out of bed slowly.

Eat just before bed, a bowl of cereal is great, rice crispies are quite tolerable.

Eat something small every couple of hours, a few breadsticks, toast with butter, whatever you can tolerate. Forget big meals if that's not working for you right now, just eat the same calories across the day by grazing.

Figure out what you can tolerate best. I find savoury foods are best and salt and vinegar crisps were good too.

I hope it passes soon for you

What tablets are you on? There are the next line ones you can try with the GP that might be a lot better.

It’s awful. I would say make sure you’re able to go to the loo regularly as that made everything worse for me. Also acid reflux can make you feel very sick, so the gaviscon tabs or simenthicone for wind relief can help with the bloating, which for me helped with the nausea. Sorry, not very glamorous 🤣
