I’m preparing myself for the worse.
realistically there’s no way I could have been 6weeks or just under 6 weeks on the 30/1 when I test positive on a digital clear blue on the 29/12.
its just not possible is it?
my symptoms are mild, I’m just slightly nauseous when I need something to eat n boobs are little sore. But that’s it.
my friend just lost her baby last week too and I’m not coping too well with all this

I am confused?

I am confused?

I had a scan on the 30/1 and it says I measured 6 weeks.
but I had a positive clear blue digital test on the 29/12

Probably you just caught it on the 29th and if
you had tested on 28th would have been negative

Presuming of course you haven’t been having sex regularly?

Hi lovely,
I am so so sorry you are going through this. The wait must be unbearable. I think its sensible to prepare for bad news if you are sure on your dates.
I had a MMC in September and had terrible nausea even though baby had stopped growing 3.5 weeks before, it is so cruel.
When is your next scan? Xx

On Friday.
seems like a lifetime away

Two weeks is such a long time, some EPUs only make you wait a week.
Is it worth ringing tomorrow to say mentally you are struggling and can they fit you in any sooner? Xx

KermitFrog101 · 08/02/2026 15:17

So if you tested positive on 29th December at that point the earliest you could be would be 3 weeks pregnant - assuming you tested positive at 7dpo. So on January 30th you would have been 7 weeks 4 days. You can’t be earlier than that as it’s almost impossible to test positive earlier than that. And by 7.4 you really should see a heartbeat. So by those dates I have to say I would agree if it was me I would prepare for the worst. However, online you do see plenty of stories where they’ve been wrong in scans. I wouldn’t take lack of symptoms as meaning anything either though. Plenty of women have zero symptoms with healthy pregnancies and lots of symptoms despite their babies stopping growing.

KermitFrog101 · 08/02/2026 15:20

I’m not sure what MSD stands for in your report but whatever it is it seems like that was only measuring 5.3 weeks.

Niftymum88 · 08/02/2026 15:25

This was a scan I had on the 25/1
it was a private one which prompted me to go epu.
so there was growth but I still don’t know
