GBS and Queen Charlotte Hospital

I am 8 weeks pregnant and just had a urine sample taken that has confirmed I have GBS and the recommendation is for IV antibiotics during labour and induction after waters break.

I had my heart set on giving birth at the birth centre at Queen Charlotte hospital. Does anyone know if this is still possible with the above? Online is unclear and with 8 weeks to go until my next midwife appointment I just want to get my head round the need for my birth plan to change.

I totally understand that births rarely go to plan and I know its ridiculous to feel upset at the change but I just wasn't expecting to have to adjust this early on

I did not give birth at QC, but I needed antibiotics for DD2 as DD1 developed GBS sepsis after she was born, and i was still offered use of the birth centre at our hospital.

Have looked on gbss.org.uk? Im pretty sure they cover this in their FAQs.

I gave birth a month ago with GBS and was told I could still use the birth centre at my hospital in Birmingham and that they would administer the antibiotics there. I was 5 weeks early in the end so didn’t get my birth centre birth anyway!
