Did anyone experience lower back pain leading up to going into labour l? I am 38 weeks and woke up with a really sore back, I feel like it’s getting worse as the day goes on. Maybe I am just symptom spotting but feeling desperate!

Yes for 3 days it was the only sign of labour until my waters broke

How many weeks were you? I have never gone into labour naturally before so don’t know what to expect! How would you describe your back pain? I am so fed up I think I am just looking for any sign haha

Nearly 40wks. Was my only pregnancy so had no idea I was actually in labour! Back was very uncomfortable not unbearable just couldn’t get comfortable in any position

My first started with back pain, I was 39 weeks. Thought I’d just rest and it would go away, I had no idea it was labour starting

How long was it until it became contractions or obviously labour? I have just had this ache all day since about 0530 this morning. Definitely feel it getting slightly worse as the day has gone on. I have had a restful day so not like I have been over doing it physically or anything to make it worse x

I had no contractions at all until my waters went so went from zero to full on labour within an hour

It started late afternoon/tea time then things started kicking off about 10pm when waters broke. How are you doing now OP?

My labour was all in my back, nothing in my bump. The pains in my back were contraction-like and did come in waves. I also needed to poo a lot the day I was in labour.

At 38w+4 I woke up with lower back pain, similar to period backache, and as the day went on I started having cramps like a period. Then a bit of diarrhea, then cramps got a little stronger, at 12:30pm my mucus plug went, I went in the bath until 2pm and then hospital at 3pm and baby was here at 4:45pm. Best of luck OP!

This was basically me woke up with the backache, around lunchtime it got worse, by 4pm I was having contractions in my back every few minutes. Waters broke at 9pm baby born at 11pm!

still nothing, I have had 2 days of loose/very loose bowel movement. Back pain is still there but it’s not in waves or anything. I wonder if it’s based position or moving down more. But so far nothing else to report!
