Bleeding/Cramping at Week 5

For years my husband and I have been trying for a baby with no luck, largely - I think - down to my PCOS, but a week ago I took a test and got a positive result, 2-3 weeks which I suppose is 4-5 weeks by GP calculations. Then on Sunday I started bleeding and haven't stopped. It's not spotting but not so heavy I need a pad - mostly just evident when I wipe after a wee. To start with it was quite dark in colour but today it's a brighter red and some very tiny clots.

I've also been cramping a little, but they seem particularly bad tonight.

Am I having a miscarriage? Or is this standard pregnancy bleeding/cramps? I haven't informed my GP yet as it felt too early and not sure if I should or just let things play out...

My head's all over the place so I guess I'm just looking for people who might have had similar experiences...

It doesn’t look good, sorry. But many people have concerning bleeding with viable pregnancies, so it’s worth getting it checked out.

Good luck.

I had bleeding alot with one of mine and all was ok but on the other hand, I’ve had light bleeding which got heavier over time and led to chemicals xx
