Early Pregnancy Test

Hi!
My husband and I have been trying to convince for about 6 months now - during that time I hit 40!
I don’t expect much luck but wondered if there were any other first time mums at this age who didn’t without the magic of IVF etc?

That aside I took an early pregnancy clear blue test - the 6 days early one, but I literally took it at 2am this morning …
Am I crazy or is there the faintessstttt blue line ?!

I don’t want to tell my partner anything until I’m sure sure and will test again in a few days but any thoughts or positive outcome stories welcome x

Yea I can see a blue line. How long after taking the test did it appear?

How long have you left it as I can’t work out of it’s an evaporation line.

It was within a few minutes - then I put it aside and went back to sleep because I thought maybe I was seeing things !
But I looked again this morning and it’s the same as lastnight ..

So if it was within a few minutes I would do one in a few days and see if it is getting darker. It’s normal for a very faint line to appear after the test has been left too long. In that instance it’s an evaporation line. Make sure you read the test within the time limit on the instructions. Keeping fingers crossed for you x

It looks very thin so I’d be cautious in case it’s an evap. Clearblue evap lines are often blue in colour. But they are also normally very thin. The test line should be as thick as the control line ideally. If you can, I’d get hold of a test that uses pink dye not blue for future testing.

id be very wary of trusting clear blue tests. I have myself had a good few tests with that same thin line that’s not a positive but some kind of evaporation or indent line. Doesn't mean you won’t get a true positive result this cycle, but if this was my own test I’d not be trusting it, sorry to say. I hope I’m wrong! I got a refund from CB in the past for it but it became too heartbreaking to keep buying them.
