Been very nausea this pregnancy and the last week feeling a run down with headache, low grade fever, shivers. Then randomly I asked Gemini about Zika as we travelled to Thailand unknowingly I was pregnant and apparently there’s a strict protocol in nhs to have it tested. I don’t know if had Zika and whether the current symptoms are related. Anyone had similar experience and can share? What tests would be involved and outcomes?

You should see your midwife or GP immediately if you think you have been exposed to Zika.

I wouldn’t have thought this was a common situation in the UK so you really do need to seek proper medical advice.

Unless you’ve very recently returned from Thailand, so had potential recent exposure, then you likely have the usual winter bugs that are circulating.

I agree with the above poster. When did you go to Thailand and return? Usually symptoms appear within 14 days after an infected mosquito bite. Have you been bitten, that you are aware of? I suspect it's likely the normal winter viruses, but if you're concerned, contact your Midwife or GP.

Thanks both. I did returned a couple of weeks ago and have spoken to triage midwife and will get the tests!
