I awoke in the early hours feeling wet. I thought i had wet the bed and as i got up the blood was running down my legand on to the floor. The blood was very red in colour so i went to the hospital.
Bloods were taken from me which came back normal. My cervix was checked, no problems there but some very small clotting was cleaned up by the nurse.
I am worried suck, even more so because they couldnt do an ultrasound today and sent me home to wait until they have an appt available!
Ive booked a private scan for this afternoon
as im too worried to wait.
Has anyone experience this. Its my 4th baby and ive never had anything like this before.
Any reassurance would be greatly appreciated !

Not had any experience with this but wanted to send hugs and I hope everything goes well at your scan x

Hiya I had very red blood at 11 weeks and it was an SCH (haematoma). One clot came out of probably 3-4cm.
it was visible on a scan and they weren’t worried as mine was relatively small (they said they’d worry if it was larger than the baby which it wasn’t)
By my scan 8 days later it was barely visible.

Epu will see you up to 16 weeks (or they do where I live). 100% get an appointment with them rather than waiting for hospital one. Have def read loads of stories of bleeding that are haematoma and although scary (and often a lot of blood) not actually harmful if not huge. I had a medium one first tri and bled on and off for a few weeks then resolved.
