Baby is still breech

I am due to have a c section late next week for other unrelated reasons but my baby has spent the last few weeks transverse and then breech position. We don’t need to try turning because of the planned section but I am a little worried as to why baby is still breech. All my scans have been normal and my placenta, though anterior, is high. I have read breech presentation can be due to problems with the baby but not sure how often this is the case. First baby, long awaited so I’m a bit tense.
Anyone have any issues with a baby who remained breech, other than potential hip problems?

My daughter was breech literally until a few days before she was born, turned randomly on her own after I’d given up having spent 4 weeks trying all the tricks! Born vaginally, no issues at all, perfectly healthy, had to have hips scanned at 6 weeks but all was perfect there too.

I was told some people just do have breech babies due to the shape/size of them/baby but just had my second baby 11 weeks ago who was never breech so just one of those random things for me at least

My baby was breech all the way through. Stuck in my pelvis, nothing to do with anything being wrong with baby.

We just had to have a hip scan at 6 weeks to check no problems there as it’s more common apparently but no issues and we never had any concerns or ongoing problems x

Absolutely nothing to do with something being wrong with baby.

Second baby was transverse . Cs and perfectly fine. Placenta was low which accounted for the presentation.

Absolutely nothing to do with problems with baby. Someone has told you an old wives' tale.

Yep just to echo others, have never heard of breech babies having anything wrong with them! My first DC was breech throughout (c section), I was breech and so was my mum. All healthy and fine!

The day before he was due my first was found to be breech so I had an ECS. Next baby presented head first and was born vaginally. Both equally fit and healthy from day one. It’s easy to worry. Try not to.

Thank you @NewShoes and @nowwhoami I am excited for my new arrival. I feel confident now. Funnily enough, my mum was saying that while my brother settled head down, I was breech all the way too xx
