dilapan induction

Has anyone on here had dilapan induction?

Consultant advised it today when I'll be nearly 40 weeks if sweeps fail.

How was your experience if so?

I had dilapan rods with my first baby, after 2 gels it was my only option and waters broke within an hour of them being inserted! My friend had them and they did nothing at all for her, so everyone is different. Good luck x

I had them with my third baby because I’d had a C-section with my second baby so it’s a safer induction. My waters went with my third baby and the dilapan rods got me into labour, I had a lovely pool birth.
