Pram colour

I will be getting the nuna triv and really want the cream colour but DH keeps reminding me how clumsy I am (which is 1000% true) and how it is very likely I will get it dirty quickly. Would black be better? I see so many people say black is the worst pram colour because dust and marks show easier and apparently black can also fade???

I had a light grey pram, it didn't get dirty at all

Orangewillow · 27/01/2026 16:19

I have the nuna triv in cream! We had the same thought that black will show dust/milk/spit up more easily, although I'm sure I'll get mud on the cream one, spill coffee, baby poo etc. Out baby hasn't been born yet so no idea bow good or bad an idea it may turn out to be

HippeePrincess · 27/01/2026 16:19

Cream would surely be absolutely filthy in no time?

Neither, and get the truffel colour one? It's called cedar.

olderthanyouthink · 27/01/2026 16:23

I have had burgundy, navy, black (but with mustard liners) and mid-dark green…. Buy a pram with easily removed fabrics. If for some reason they get truly disgusting (mould from being left wet in the car or something, can be fix safely if you can fully submerge) it’s a real pain to deal with. Idk about buns but bugaboo, joolz, cybex and mountain buggy have all been able to remove and wash

Topseyt123 · 27/01/2026 16:23

I'd go for black. I just prefer it and would worry that, much as I do like cream/white, it wouldn't remain cream/white for long.

olderthanyouthink · 27/01/2026 16:23

Nuna not buns!!!

Topseyt123 · 27/01/2026 16:29

I see they do one that looks like a charcoal grey colour too. I think that's nice, but you get what you want as it is personal choice/taste really.

Deff get a dark one, unless you actually like cleaning. They get really grotty.

My best friend has it and I really don't want to get the same one haha I don't know why I'm like this!

Just get the one you want!

I got a sensible black one for baby number one and it was so boring and ugly.

I had pale pink for DD and loved it.

RandomMess · 27/01/2026 17:11

Get a colourful liner etc easier to clean and individualise it.

BaronessBomburst · 27/01/2026 18:10

I had Maxi Cosi (years ago!). The pram was teal green and the pushchair seat was red. I just went for the colours i liked.

Goldpanther · 27/01/2026 18:13

Go for what you want! I'm guessing you will be the one pushing it most of the time!

Any colour pram will get muddy/dusty etc, you can clean them easily.

We went Cosatto with the car seat you can click in and out of a base in the car/pram. You can get patterns. They look funky and (I found) they are really comfy/easy to manoeuvre.

The patterns really help with muckiness. I am also clumsy and accident prone a d we have a collie so we were in the park A LOT. Didn't ever look too grubby.

CrispAppleStrudels · 28/01/2026 06:47

I have a black uppababy vista and it has faded on the hood, but we keep it in the porch so its in the light all day, and it has faded after 4.5yrs of use (DD1 then DD2). So i dont feel too cross as ive got my use out of it. Ill probably just buy a replacement seat hood at some point.

Paaseitjes · 28/01/2026 08:02

Mine is a sea blue with dusty pink accessories. It doesn't get too grubby because everything is washable and I get so many compliments about not having a boring pram! When the baby is big enough to object to my taste, he can walk if he won't be seen dead in the pram
