Going by my last period I should be 7 weeks tomorrow. I ovulated 21st December.
i had a scan today and it’s 5 weeks 1 day, no heartbeat.
does this mean the baby has stopped developing and I’ve had a missed miscarriage?

I assume your scan today was private? I would contact your local EPU tomorrow and ask to be seen xx

When did you first get a positive test?

How do you know when you've ovulated? Did you test or is it based on an app?

Did an ovulation test. And first positive test was on the 29th December

EPU will probably want to do a scan as most won’t take private scan reports as evidence then a follow up scan to confirm if there is any development or not xx

Ah, I’m really sorry. If you were say 3 weeks pregnant on 29 December it looks as if you have had a MMC. I’ve had one myself and they’re awful, but you will need to be seen by EPU to confirm.

Yes, they do.

Scans date you from LMP as well. So I’m sorry it isn’t looking good. I would also think about contacting your local EPU if they allow self referral. Some won’t accept that though and others won’t accept private scan as a reason alone without any bleeding etc. But it’s worth a try to contact them tomorrow.
