Postpartum bleeding advice needed please (possible TMI)

Hi, I had a c-section 8 days ago and have had very minimal bleeding since, and very little blood loss during the procedure (450ml). I've just been to the bathroom and (sorry if TMI) had a lot of stretchy blood similar to egg white mucus discharge in consistency, but it was blood (not sure if that's a clot, but it wasn't round it was long and stretchy?)

I called the maternity unit and they said to just keep an eye on it for now, but I struggle quite a lot with anxiety and I'm trying to keep calm. Has anyone else experienced similar please? Thank you x

Mine did similar after a c section and it was fine. Ask again when you see a midwife in a few days.

Thank you so much for your reply! That's really reassuring, I will do ❤️

vaginal birth but my bleeding was mostly stringy mucusy blood. Are you breast feeding? Or did you do a bit more movement today? I’d have days of nothing and then get more bleeding /duscharge.

Thank you for replying! No I'm not breastfeeding, but possibly have done a bit much! There was one day I went out for a coffee as I hadn't left the house in weeks, my husband drove us and I only pushed the pram from the car into the cafe, but perhaps even that was a bit of a shock to the system 😅 I haven't had it since and I've been having a couple of chill days so that may be it! Good to know it can be normal though, thank you!
